Reporting results honestly

A qualification report should state the reference-set composition, the acceptance criteria agreed in advance, and every limitation found — not only the favourable numbers.

A single aggregate accuracy figure without reference-set composition invites the reader to assume it applies to their hardest cases; it usually does not.

State known limitations explicitly, including case types the capability was not tested against, so a later user understands the boundary of the evidence rather than discovering it in production.

PUT THIS INTO PRACTICE

  1. 01Publish reference-set composition alongside every result.
  2. 02State limitations and untested case types explicitly.
  3. 03Avoid a single aggregate number as the only reported measure.
