Ask suppliers for evidence, not assurances.
A supplier’s AI-supported output is part of the quality interface. The customer still needs to know what it means, how it was checked, and what changed.
Minimum questions
What is the intended use? Which inputs and revisions are in scope? What decisions remain with a named human? What reference cases establish performance? How are no-finding cases, incidents, drift, access, retention, and changes handled?
Contract the boundary
Agree the evidence package, notification triggers, version identifiers, audit access, data responsibilities, and stop conditions before production use. “The model is accurate” is not a substitute for a controlled acceptance criterion.
