The quality information chain
The highest-value opportunities often sit between documents: requirements, risks, controls, instructions and inspection evidence need to remain connected through revision and lifecycle change.
A critical characteristic on a drawing should be reflected in risk analysis, control planning, work instructions, inspection evidence and the production-approval package. When those artefacts are maintained separately, inconsistencies survive until late validation or serial production.
A controlled system can compare this chain continuously only when evidence carries revision, part, project, supplier, source location and phase metadata. Without those fields, a fluent answer can be accurate about the wrong revision or project.
